How to prepare a technical proposal that scores high

The technical proposal is your opportunity to demonstrate to the Contracting Authority why your proposal is the best. It is not just about meeting the requirements; it is about highlighting your experience, resources, and added value.

Key tips for success:

  • Read the specifications carefully (again!): Identify the award criteria and ensure your proposal addresses each one specifically.

  • Clear and professional structure: Organize information into sections with clear headings to make it easy to read. A confusing proposal loses points, even if the content is good.

  • Demonstrate experience: Include examples of similar projects, references, and certifications that back up your technical capacity.

  • Explain your methodology: Describe how you will execute the project, the resources you will use, the timelines, and your quality control measures.

  • Highlight added value: If you can improve deadlines, efficiency, or sustainability, make it visible. This is often what sets you apart from the competition.

  • Avoid “copy and paste”: Every tender is unique. Generic proposals lose points and give the impression of a lack of commitment.
